Our club conducted another successful event on May 14, 2016. This year for the first time, the barbecued beef, pork and the baked potatoes were provided by Appin BBQ Service and Catering. The Appin group performed an excellent job! Coordinated by Lion Reg Thompson, the meal was generously served by his team of volunteers. There were many positive compliments received about this outstanding meal.
Concurrently with the meal and the elimination draw a silent auction was conducted with many items generously donated by local merchants. Once again, the silent auction was expertly, coordinated by Lion Bob Mooder and his team.
Following the meal, the Elimination Draw was conducted in its usual fashion with Diane Charlton winning the top prize of $1,000.00. (See list for other winners.)
After the draw was finished, the evening was concluded with entertainment provided by the band, “The New Boys”
As with all of our events the funds generated are for benefit of our community.
