On January 24, 2019, from 3 – 7 PM, an open house is scheduled to be held at the Ilderton Community Centre.
Purpose of the event is to provide a status of the project, a path forward to complete the project, an opportunity for Medway alumni and friends to get catch up and, if any donors are so inclined, to give Lion Brad McGhie a good send off on his retirement, after a 30 year career at Medway High School where he coached many sports, especially football and track.
The Medway Track Enhancement is the largest ever community project for the Thames Valley District School Board, thanks to the competence and leadership from the Ilderton and District Lions Club, who have raised almost $850,000 to date and negotiated with the board over the past three years. It has been a journey but a worthwhile one and, when finished, a great benefit to the present and future generations of students of the communities that make use of the facility.
There will be a cash bar, finger food, some music and maybe a few speeches, but very few.
We hope you can attend.
