On May 3, 2018, Lions Rob Andrews, Jim McNaughton and Bob Mooder provided bbq support to the Medway High School Rugby tea as a fundraiser for them.
Several team members did the actual Bbqing under the supervision of the Lions.
There were two lunch periods about 1 hour apart. Approximately 600 students attended each one. With the capacity of the two Lion’s Crown BBQs, the task was easily accomplished.
This was a student event, planned and executed mostly by them.
The Rugby team had a very successful year, winning at OFSAA and as a show of gratitude, provided the Lions with a signed team ball.
Congratulations to the great teacher support and participation by the rugby team to make this event a huge success.
