The Ilderton Lions and Thames Valley District School have been working on a project for about two years to upgrade the Athletic Facilities at the Medway High School, the field, the track, the high,triple, and long jumps, the pole vault and steeple chase. The TVDSB is replacing the field complete with appropriate drainage and in-ground sprinklers. A lot of work and progress has already been accomplished.
The Lions funding portion of the project has almost been reached.
The only option we cannot fund completely is the high jump. Approximately $ 50,000 is needed to finish funding the high jump area.
A new “gofundme” account has been established for credit card donations so that no fee is added to your donation.
Get a group together,( students, alumni, friends or relatives of alumni) and hold a Medway fundraising party to help us raise this additional amount to complete the project.
Construction is estimated start time June 1st so we need to have this additional amount in the bank by then to enable us to get the high jump scope included in the project at this time.
We want to do this now because it is the cost effective time to do it.
The community and the TVDSB have been supportive so far and if you have already donated, we greatly appreciate it.
