Final Wing Night 2020

Someone once said that “If you cook them, the Ilderton area community will come” (or something like that). You did.

Over 9,000 wings (2,250 per hour) were cooked and it was another sold out event.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

There were some problems with the equipment. That happens when the temperatures get below freezing. Still, the crew did a great job in spite of the problems. Apologies for any delays at the end of the night.

This was a record for all wing nights. The Wing committee is to be congratulated for all their hard work this season, under the leadership of Lion Brendan Colafranceschi.

Hope to see you in a couple of months, probably March but that will depend on what restrictions are in place at that time over which we have no control.

The Ilderton and District Lions hope everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas … with as many family as our COVID restrictions will allow. Here is also hoping the New Year sees this virus crushed into pandemic history.

Please keep our front line workers in your thoughts at this time since many will be unable to celebrate Christmas in the same way that we can. We are indebted to their service so lets help by practicing social distancing and wearing face masks even in our homes if the circumstances require it.
