The Ilderton & District Lions Club members welcomed Lion Cheryl Bauman of the Ladies Elmira Lions Club to give a presentation on the Dog Guide Program at the Oakville facility at their meeting on November 23, 2021.
Lion Cheryl brought her latest foster dog, Ketoe, who she has had for approximately 3 months. Her role is to socialize Ketoe before she is turned over to the training group to prepare her to become a service dog. She has socialized a large number of dogs in support of this program. Although it is difficult to return the puppies after her job is done, her reward is knowing that someone’s life will be better due to her participation.
Ketoe is a black lab. The breading facility is closely regulated to ensure only the best pedigree pups are produced.
